JK Rowling

JK Rowling says her Harry Potter books are inspired by Christianity and that the books reflect her own life struggle with her faith.

Joanne Kathleen Rowling was born in July 1965 at Yate General Hospital in England and grew up in Chepstow, Gwent. Joanne left Chepstow for extra university. As a postgraduate she moved to London and worked as a researcher at amnesty international. She started to write the Harry Potter series during a delayed train trip. During the next 5 years she outlined the plots for each book and began writing the first book. Jo Marred in October 1992 and had a daughter Jessica in 1993. When the marriage ended, Jo and Jessica went back to the UK and lived in Edinburgh where Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone was finally completed. Joanne married Dr. Neil Murray in 2001. Jo had another kid named David, followed by a Sister Mackenzie born in 2005.

Here is a list of the novels, in order by JK Rowling.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

If I ever got to meet JK Rowling I would ask her:

What influenced you to give Harry Potter books a magical twist?

If your first Harry Potter book wasn’t liked would you have written another one?

Did you always want to be a writer?

Are you pleased with the films made of your books?

I think the genre of Harry Potter is Fairytale/Fantasy/Adventure/action.

Updated Goals. 2010

My goal for reading was to close the gap between my reading age and my chronological age. I am still working towards this and to make sure it happens I will read more, work hard during class and read more challenging texts.
To improve my writing I will write more, include more detail and make sure I use correct punctuation and grammar.
My goal for mathematics was to score 100% in basic facts. My highest score is 89 so I need to work a little harder to get to 100%. To make sure I get there I will practice basic facts at home, play math games and check my work to make sure I have not made silly mistakes.

PE ASSESSEMENT.

I think a good attacker trys to find space

A good defender trys to find space and use it to make it harder for attackers to throw to the other attackers on there team.

I think after the teacher told us to use space i used it well.

The class improved on communicating with eachtoher and using smaller thows to make it harder for the defenders to get the ball

The class could work on using space without being told.
